If we have the meet tomorrow (so far, so good), the LaPorte Turbos and the High School teams are having a Port-a-Pit fundraiser this Saturday.  They will be selling at Kabelins which is only a couple of blocks away, if any is interested after the meet.

If LaPorte ends up getting a lot of snow before the meet on Saturday morning, the meet could be cancelled.  Please watch for emails and check the website for the latest information.

“Every swimmer, and parents, are invited to participate in Chesterton’s Hometown Christmas Parade on Friday, November 28th, 2008. Please meet behind Chesterton Middle School (right off of Porter Ave.) between 4:45p.m. and 5:00 p.m.  We are float #19. (Parents dropping children off need to park their vehicle on 5th St. or Morgan Ave.  No vehicles will be allowed in the parking lot behind the Middle School.) We hope to have hot chocolate and cookies for the children while they wait.  There is a sign up sheet at pool-PLEASE sign up.  Also, the children may bring their own bag of candy to toss into the crowds.  Parents will need to provide the candy.  Small children will sit on the float and older children will walk.  Please dress them warmly as it was freezing last year.” Want to help me?  Contact Tami Bianco 508-9703.

IT’S A 30 MINUTE DRIVE TO LAPORTE HIGH SCHOOL.
8:00AM WARM-UP.
9:00AM START.
CHECK IN WITH COACH JIM AT THE LAPORTE POOL AREA.
THE MEET WILL BE THREE HOURS LONG.

THE LAKE CENTRAL DUAL MEET IS POSTED ON THE TABLE IN THE POOL AREA.
THE DUE DATE TO SIGN-UP IS THIS THURSDAY.
WARM UP TIME IS 10:00AM. BE AT THE LAKE CENTRAL POOL BY 9:45AM.
LAKE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL IS ON HIGHWAY 41 AND IT WILL TAKE YOU 1 HOUR TO GET THERE.

THE HEAD COACH FROM INDIANA UNIVERSITY, RAY LOOZE WILL BE AT THE INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED PRACTICE THIS WEDNESDAY TO WORK ON STROKES AND OVERSEE THE WORKOUTS.
THIS WILL BE A CHANCE TO RECEIVE TIPS AND ASK QUESTIONS FROM ONE OF THE MOST RESPECTED SWIM COACHES IN COLLEGE TODAY.
